I develop intelligent design and branding solutions for global clients. Leveraging customer-driven insights to deliver user-centric design solutions across multiple touchpoints and build brand stories that connect with the needs of customer. Tasked with expressing the needs of each client and developing innovative solutions that serve a specific function, increase brand awareness and drive business growth across multi-touchpoints.

 

Smith & Nephew Advanced Surgical Devices

Communications Specialist II/Art Director, Andover, MA (May 2009–Dec 2011)

Creative lead for developing and overseeing nearly all of the creative solutions for medical devices across a wide variety of product types. Guided by strict branding guidelines, FDA regulatory and legal constraints, my goal was to find ways to express the company’s brand values through high impact promotional material and to leverage medical devices franchises to drive company growth across multiple franchise teams in a very competitive industry. I directed managed franchise product campaigns spanning advertising, brochures, large trade show rollout, product launches, photography and corporate website through utilization of complex brand standards and maintaining brand consistency across all core franchises.

 

TRO Jung | Brannen

Senior Designer/Lead, Boston, MA (2007–2009)

Creative lead within the Health care Master Planning Department. Responsible for building and developing clear design language for Health Care Master Planning. Responsible for envisioning and implementing design projects over five regional and two international offices. Also responsible for establishing and leading the Global Image and Heritage through the firm’s one hundred year anniversary. Collaborated with team of multi-disciplinary designers to create cutting-edge international retail architectural design, space planners, interior designers, internal design groups, and senior level executives. Collaborated with marketing, business development, operations, project engineers, contractors and vendors on full range of endeavors. Other project managing responsibilities include project timelines, managing resources, production and delivery.

 

Artime Group

Senior Designer, Pasadena, CA (2006)

Working as senior designer gave me the opportunity to create corporate communications programs for the California Philharmonic, Affinity Internet, and Utility Trailer Corporation. I managed the synchronization of client expectations, messaging and deliverables into unique brand stories for clients. Working under the creative director, my team developed integrated brands and advertising with a synergistic philosophy where we leveraged and synchronized our approach with desired goal metrics established by the client.

 

Catapult Thinking

Design Catalyst, Boston, MA (2004–2006)

Responsible for embracing design as a problem-solving process, combining strategic and systems thinking, product development, and branding and creative services to solve the client’s critical business challenges. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary design team made up of designers, writers and researchers. Responsible for bringing design solutions from initial problem discoveries and concepts to the delivery of various communication solutions. Duties include overall design, and involvement in delivering client expectations.

Solutions varied in size, complexity and form and included various degrees of brand identity development, product architecture and package design. Projects range from crafting the content and design of package design for the ZINK, by Polaroid, to developing a brand language enabling Shure Incorporated to successfully venture from the music industry into markets. As a Catalyst, our teams developed research-led strategies defining product, positioning and channel marketing solutions, and strategy-led designs that delivered experiences which addressed customer needs, instilled loyalty and increased sales.

 

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro)

Chief Design Intern, Los Angeles, CA (2002–2004)

Specialized in brand communications and environmental design at the Metro Design Studio for a large government agency. Contributed in the development and execution of a new corporate identity across a diverse city like Los Angeles. Our project team significantly changed the public perception of the mass transit service throughout Los Angeles through a complete rebrand of the MTA. Our medium sized group was able to create all the printed collateral which included: advertising, service updates, riders guide, special events, bus exterior redesign, system maps, signage system, and internal communication materials. This enhanced image led to increased ridership and improved efficiency enabling Metro to obtain additional federal funding and expand its reach.

Ebling Group

Freelance Designer, New York, New York (2005-2006)
Hired to develop identity and advertising concepts for large campaigns for the National Geographic Channel and Lifetime Television. Developed new identity concepts for NGC Wild focused on bringing to life a new television series across the globe that placed you in the wild. Developed new identity concepts and advertising campaign storyboards for Lifetime rebranding.
